We’ve reduced our prices five times since last winter. You might have heard about it: when each price drop has happened, we make a lot of noise about it because we think it’s a big part of what makes Bulb different.

Yes, you save money. The average Bulb member’s bill has reduced by over £108 over the last 6 months.

But we think it’s about more than just money: it’s fair.

There have been two main drivers of Bulb’s price drops: declines in the wholesale cost of energy, which have led to us reducing the unit rate, and improvements in the efficiency of the business, which have led to us reducing our standing charge.

We believe our role is to do everything we can to pass on price reductions as quickly as possible and work hard to limit the level of any price increases. Other suppliers wait, racking up profits before they pass savings on. Which isn’t fair.

Not only do we keep an eye on wholesale energy prices and keep our costs down but we’re always looking for other ways to keep our pricing as fair as possible. That’s why we only have one tariff so you always know you’re always on our best deal. And when one of our members recently proposed paying people's exit fees (the money other suppliers charge you to get out of your contract) we thought it sounded like a great idea: so now we do it.
