Warm Home Discount applications are open for 2019

Head to your Bulb Account to apply for the Warm Home Discount.

Applications are open for the Warm Home Discount. Bulb members can apply now through the online form in your Bulb account.

The Warm Home Discount is a government scheme, paid for by energy suppliers, which gives people receiving certain benefits £140 towards their electricity bills. This winter, we've made the grant available to a wider group of people by expanding our criteria.

Savings Element of Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, and Working Tax Credit are now included. You can also apply if you receive low income benefits and are over the age of 65, or responsible for a child under the age of 16 who normally lives with you.

What you'll need to apply

We’ll ask a few questions about your personal circumstances, and about the benefits you receive. As part of the application, we'll ask you to provide a photo or screengrab of your benefit document.

The name and address on the documents and on your Bulb account need to match. This is important, as the Warm Home Discount can only go to a person named on your account.
