Making energy better

We're on a mission to help our members lower their energy bills and cut carbon emissions. Today, we provide over one million homes with affordable, renewable energy, and we're just getting started. Bulb is the fastest growing company in the UK.

Our ambition is big. We want to transform the energy industry, and we need great people to make that happen.

Making a difference

We've given a lot of thought to what makes Bulb, well, Bulb. We worked with the whole team to define our culture, and the skills and behaviours that go along with it:

  • Significant impact

    We care about the impact our work has and love seeing results. We like thinkers, but we really like doers.

  • Communicate clearly

    We don't fluff things up to make us sound clever. We say what we mean, clearly and concisely.

  • Continuous improvement

    We don't do things because "that's how they've always been done". Using data, we find a better way.

Working at Bulb

Hear first hand what working at Bulb is like:

  • Training budget

    £1000 a year, plus five working days, to spend on personal or professional development. You can use this for training courses, books or conferences.

  • Holiday

    33 days holiday a year (including bank holidays), and the option to buy up to 5 more. We're building a company, and we all need a break.

  • Sabbatical

    After a year at Bulb, you can take an additional month of unpaid leave to travel, work on personal projects or simply to recharge and reboot.

  • Share options

    Every team member has the option to buy shares in Bulb at a later date, at a discounted price. We all own a bit of Bulb.

  • Quarterly reviews

    We review performance, promotions and salaries every quarter so we make sure to recognise when your roles and responsibilities grow.

  • Team socials

    Monthly social budgets for every team to get out and get to know each other. Whether it's Board games, dinner out or karaoke, teams can organise their own.

  • Wellbeing

    Activities to improve your mental and physical wellbeing, including office yoga, meditation and Sanctus coaching. We want you to bring your whole self to work.

  • Parental leave

    12 weeks of full pay for maternity, paternity or adoption leave, to help you balance work with new additions to the family.

  • Cycle-to-work

    We're registered under the Cycle-to-Work scheme so you can buy a bike and accessories tax-free. Enjoy a carbon-free commute on us.
