There are 4 stages in the interview process for these teams. It’s important to note that there can be more than one step, interview or task at each stage.

Stage 1: Phone interview

If you’ve impressed us with your application, the screening call with your Bulb Recruiter is your next opportunity to sell yourself. You’ll have 30 minutes to show you have the right skills and attitude for the role, and that your values align with ours. Remember we are ‘Answer First,’ so try to keep your responses concise and to the point.

Stage 2: Technical interview

The technical interview helps our hiring managers to see whether you have the right skills and experience to do the job.

For some roles this will consist of a ‘traditional’ (competency-based) interview. For others we’ll use case interviews or a skills assessment to test your problem solving and creativity. Case interviews are designed with a particular role or discipline in mind.

Stage 3: Cultural interview

The cultural interview is when you’ll meet someone from a team you’ll be working closely with. They’ll want to know why you want this job - and more importantly, why do you want to do it at Bulb?

  • Do you care about the same things that we do?

  • Are you likely to be successful in this environment?

  • Have you displayed the behaviours that we really value at Bulb?

  • Have you shown that you can overcome similar challenges to the ones you’ll be tackling here?

Stage 4: Meet the senior team

At Bulb we have a final and really important interview stage. This is when you’ll meet your future colleagues or a member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for your role. For example, if you were interviewing for the Talent or People team, your final stage will be with our Chief People Officer, Tom Fraine.
